Plan ahead
Part of flying first class is getting a good seat. But in economy, you still get to decide where you sit, so make your seat a good one. Check-in online as early as you can to pick your ideal spot. Generally, window seats far from lavatories will be your best bet. Also, sit as close to the front of the plane as you can. Seeing fewer heads in front of you will make the flight feel more luxurious, and you’ll have the added bonus of de-planning first.
Also, limit your personal carry-on item to a small bag that can easily fit under your seat. This gives you plenty of legroom. And make sure all of your plane essentials, like headphones and books are in a small pouch that you can stick in your seatback pocket for easy access.
Bring your own amenities
First class passengers often receive special pamper kits to make long trips more comfortable. But you can make your own. Include lotions, lip balms, aromatherapy oils, an eye mask, your toothbrush, and any other refreshing treats you’ll need in air. It’s also a good idea to bring noise cancelling headphones to drown out plane sounds.
And for longer flights, get some sleep. Pack a soft shawl, a pillow, and a mild sleep aid, and don’t forget to pull out your eye mask to feel refreshed when you land.
With these tips, you can have a relaxing ride, even in economy. And for a lift to or from the airport, just call Affinity!
