Shuttle to Air and Space Museum

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Travelers visiting the Washington, D.C. area would be remiss not to check out any of the Smithsonian museums. The largest, and one of the busiest, is the Air and Space Museum. This institution maintains the world’s most extensive collection of spacecraft and aircraft. While Affinity Airport Sedan, Inc. can’t offer intergalactic travel, we can provide professional shuttle service during your D.C-area visit. Call us to schedule your ride today.

About the Air and Space Museum

The Air and Space Museum is a research center studying the history of and science behind aviation and spaceflight. It also takes a look at planetary science and terrestrial geology. The museum’s collection includes many original space and aircraft, like the Spirit of St. Louis and SpaceShipOne. Air and Space Museum experts are currently hard at work making discoveries about Mars, Mercury, and the Moon. They’re even researching the history of Star Trek, a fictional television series that debuted in the ‘60s.

Planning your visit to the Air and Space Museum

In addition to museum exhibits and standard collections, the Air and Space Museum offers many other features. Visitors enjoy the realistic, 4-minute flight simulator rides. The Albert Einstein Planetarium offers virtual tours of the universe. And the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater shows films exploring the depths of space, among other wonders. The Air and Space Museum is one of the most popular museums in the District. To avoid huge crowds, get there early in the day or later in the afternoon. Also, know that there is much more than you can see in one visit. So, block off at least 2 – 3 hours to give yourself enough time to see your must-see exhibits. Note that both the Planetarium and IMAX are extremely popular. Make sure to get your tickets in advance or as soon as you get to the museum. Have a blast while you tour the Air and Space Museum. And when you need a ride to the airport for some air travel of your own, call us. Affinity Airport Sedan, Inc. is happy to help.
